Step 5 - People
There are different steps for adding People to i:c based on whether they are a BDSmktg employee or not an employee. Adding an employee to a Team requires no IT assistance, adding a non-employee does require a request be sent to the IT department.

Tasks in step
- All employee’s and non BDS employees are added to the people table in i:c
- Employees are added after first going through the new hire process
- Non BDS employees are added manually to the people table by sending a request to IT and attaching a spreadsheet
- In order for an employee to work on a Team they need to be added to the Team with a role.
Overview of steps
Adding Employee’s
BDSmktg employee’s follow a process to get hired outlined in the People section in Chapter 1. After the employee has been hired use the following steps to add them to a Team:
- After logging into i:c select your Team and navigate to the People link on the menu
- In the filters area:
- Type the name of the person to add to the Team in the Name Search: box
- Choose the Any Words radio button
- Click the Search link
- The names matching your first and last name will be listed below the filters.
- Click the check-box in front of the names of the people to add to the Team and click the Add Selected People to Team link.

Adding Non-Employee’s
People who are not BDSmktg employee’s need to be added to the people database before they are available to add to a Team in i:c; here are the steps:
- Create a request ticket in the Help Center to Add Person (non BDS employee). Provide the following information:
- First Name, Last Name
- Address, City, State, Postal Code (for mapping purposes)
- Email Address
- When the ticket has been completed add the person using the same steps used to Add a BDSmktg employee.
