People
The people application in ic supports the following:
- Associating people to a team
- Editing a persons profile
- Setting a role and position for a person on the team
This article reviews viewing a list of people on a team. Adding and removing people from a team. Setting roles, positions and position types for a person.
People Management
People management is available on the main menu by selecting a team and the clicking Manage - People - People List. Some teams restrict People Management for security purposes therefore check with a manager if People Management is not available.
The people management list gives the user access to a list of all people associated to a team from the ic people list .

People Search
The people list is not loaded when the screen opens. To view a specific person enter their first or last name and click the search button. To view the full list leave the search box empty and click the search button.

To view termed employees that formerly displayed on the list click the Display Termed checkbox. Note: This list can be long depending on the size and longevity of the team.
Add Person
Employee
BDSmktg active employees are added to the people table every hour using a data services transfer from the Ceridian Dayforce HR/Payroll system.
- To add an employee to the team click Manage - People - Add People. The people search screen opens

Search: To add a person search for them in the people list. There are two ways to search for a person:

Show Users Added in Last - select a time frame in the drop-down to search for users added
to Ceridian.

Name Search - Enter the name of a person to add to the team and click Search

Select the check-box to the left of the persons name. Click the Add Selected People to Team This will start the add process.

Edit Profile - The first screen displays the contact information for the person and offers a link to Edit the persons profile.

Select Role- Each person added to a team is required to have a role. Roles determine what features are available on the menu for the person.

- Select a Role
- Select a Start Date
- Click the check-box to apply to the Person(s)
- Click the Apply to Checked button

Select Position

- Select a Position from the drop-down. Please note if the drop-down is empty that the position needs to be created first. Click to read the steps under Position Tree Management.
- Click Next to view and then Save the person.
Non-Employee
- A Help Center request ticket needs to be entered to have a non-employee added to the people table in i:c.
- The request category to select is ic - Add non BDSMktg Person
- If the person is a client the following data points are needed in the request

- First and Last Name
- Email Address
- If the person is an external companies field rep these data fields are needed in the request
- First and Last Name
- Address, City, State, Postal Code
- Email address
- When the person has been added (ticket is complete) the person can be added to the team using the employee steps.
Remove Terminated Employee
- BDSMktg employees are added to the people table in i:c via a link to the Ceridian Dayforce HR/Payroll system.
- When employee's are terminated there are two indicators in the People list on i:c
- The row's background color is changed to yellow
- Their status is changed to T = Terminated
- Remove Terminated employee from Team
- Click the check-box to the left of the persons UserID
- Click the Remove from Team link at the top of the Person List
Welcome Email
A welcome email is automatically sent to each person added to a team in ic. The Welcome email gives the user information they need to get started like their temp login information, their supervisor, etc. Below is a sample welcome email.

Edit Roles
Roles have a start and end date. Changing a role requires selecting a new role and a new start date. The old role is then ended and the new role started. Roles can be updated in bulk by selecting more than one person.
- To edit an employee on a team click Manage - People - People List. The people search screen opens
- Search for the person to edit or click Search to view the full list.
- Click the checkbox next to a persons UserID and click the Edit Roles button
- Click Next
- Click the check box next to the person to edit
- Choose the new role from the Role Drop-down

- Choose the start date of the new role and click Apply to Checked.
- Click the Save button to complete the update.
Edit Person Profile
The person profile is a list of attributes about an employee which helps a team determine which projects they would be be suited to work on for clients.
The profile is setup initially by the employee, but may need to be adjusted by an Account Team or Supervisor to be better aligned with their skill set.
- To edit a persons profile click on a team click Manage - People - People List. The people search screen opens. Search for an employee.
- Click the edit icon next to a persons UserID
- The person profile screen opens with a list of attributes broken into these sections

General - address, email, phone information populated from HR records

Dates - birth date and hire date

Personal - attributes to help classify the employee for work

Courses Completed - courses completed in the company Learning Management System
- Update an pertinent information in the General or Personal sections
