People
People is a generic term used in Insight:Center to refer to those that have access to i:c. The term people is used because it encompasses employees, clients, 3rd party labor, etc. When a Team is created by IT an initial person is added to the Team in the Account Team role to set it up. That person is then responsible for adding any additional people who need to work on the Team.
People need to be added to a Team to gain access to the functionality and information on that Team.
People types at BDSmktg:
Employee's – this is the most common, and includes those people that are interviewed and hired to work on client programs. Below is a workflow diagram visualizing the information flow for hiring and adding an employee to a Team.
Non-Employee's – This refers to the client's people who need to access i:c most commonly to view reporting. These people are added manually by IT after receiving a request ticket from the Team.
Partner Employee's – these are people who use i:c like BDSmktg Teams to enter and report information and hours. This is a rarely used type and is added by IT.
Workflow for employees entering BDSmktg systems:
Step 1 – Person applies for an open job on BDSmktg.com
Step 2 – Recruiter reviews resume/information on candidate for a job in ICIMS (Applicant Tracking)
Step 3 – Person is hired and moved from ICIMS to Ceredian (HCM) and setup for benefits and payroll.
Step 4 – Ceredian employee's are moved to i:c where they can be added to a team to begin work.

Person Profile
In the person setup process on a Team, the general information tab is filled out first. The general tab contains the persons general contact information on top and profile information below. The profile information is updated by the supervisor to indicate the type of marketing experience the person has and the languages spoken. This information can be updated at any time by the supervisor or account Team roles and is invaluable when assigning work for projects.
