Display Management
Display Management
The display management module is used to Add/Edit displays to use for Break Fix Parts Programs.
It is available at:
Break Fix / Parts / Parts Display-+
The display management screen uses the General Management page layout.

Searching/Viewing Displays
The display list does not load by default when the module is opened; searching is required to view the list of displays by parts program.
Search
Selecting a Program and clicking the Search button loads the list of displays for the program.

Clicking the checkbox displays inactive displays.

Adding Displays
To begin adding displays click the Add Display button.

The Add Display window is opened. Enter the data in the form.

Parts Program - name of the currently selected Parts Program

Display Name - Internal name for the display
-
External Display Name - 3rd Party name for the display

External Display ID - 3rd Party identifier for the display

Click the Save button to create the new display.
Editing a Display
Clicking the context menu for a Display in the Display list opens the option for Editing. Clicking the Edit option opens the Display Edit screen.

The display edit screen allows users to edit:
- Display Name
- External Display Name
- External Display ID
- Active

Inactivating a Display
Clicking the context menu for a Display reveals the Inactivate option. Inactivating a display makes it no longer accessible to choose for parts orders.

Clicking the Inactivate option opens a "Are you sure" reminder before it is inactivated as a precaution.

Uploading Displays
The uploading feature on the Display Management toolbar enables users to upload new and update existing displays using an upload template.
Clicking the Upload button open the upload dialog box.

The Part Display upload dialog box contains the following elements
- General Instructions
- Template download link
- File upload selection button

To start an upload click the Template link to download the upload template.
The template can be used to:
- Add new displays
- Update the display details on current displays.

Adding New Display(s)
- Row 2 of the upload template example is the format for adding a new part
- Part ID is not available because it is supplied by the app when the Part is created
- The part name is required.
Editing Existing Display(s)
- Row 3 of the upload template example is the format for editing an existing part
- Part ID is required so the upload process knows which part to update
- Any remaining fields entered in the template are updated upon upload.
Uploading the Displays (s)
Save the completed upload template somewhere accessible on the computer.
Click the Select file button.

Select the filled out Parts Display AddUpload template.

Next click the upload button to begin the upload process

The status bar will show the progress and the stats below display the
- Total Number of Uploaded Displays
- Total Number of Upload Displays Added/Updated

Clicking the Download Status button downloads the upload template with statuses for each display row.
