Question Management - Bulk Question Upload

To support creating call forms more efficiently and quickly a new Bulk Question upload is available on the Question Management module.

The upload questions feature is added to the Actions menu on the Question Management module.

Upload Questions

To start uploading questions click the Upload Questions button.

The Question Upload is opened. It includes:

Question Template Setup

Click the Template link to download the questions upload template. An Excel upload template is downloaded with the following tabs:

Template - question details
QuestionTypes - question type ID's to use in the template
Answer Types - abbreviations for each answer type to use in the template
Example - question details example for each question and answer types.

Template Tab

Fill in the template tab with the question details using the definitions below.

TaskID - task the question is associated
Name - Question Text
AnswerTypeID - ID for the question type, either store or item
QuestionTypeID - abbreviation for the question answer type
Required - yes or no if the question is required

Template Tab (cont.)

StartDate - date the question is first displayed on a call form.
GridQuestionID - Question ID of the already established grid question - used for item level questions only
Choices - for single and multiple -select questions listing the choices separated by a pipe symbol |
Example: Choice 1|Choice 2|Choice 3
AdditionalInfo - additional information text non-formatted.

QuestionTypes Tab

Question types determine if the question is answer once for the call form or for each item authorized for a store.

Store - store level questions are asked once per call form task entry
Item - item level questions are asked for each authorized item for a store and call form entry.

Answer Types Tab

An answer type determines the input requested from the person entering the data on the call form.

The Answer type ID is entered for each question on the template to make certain the correct input is created and the necessary template information is provided.

Save

Save the prepared template in a safe location.

Upload Prepared Question Template

Click the Choose File button to choose the prepared upload template.

Once chosen click the Upload Questions button

After clicking the Upload Questions button statistics are displayed showing what is processed in the upload:

Number of Questions uploaded
Number of Questions Added

Included is a Download Status button to download the upload template with status information for each row processed.
