Creating a New Course
Introduction
The main goal of this article is to help guide you through the initial step of creating a new E-Learning course in Engage Center. This first step details the process of creating a course shell. A course is considered a shell when its Course Properties, Training Material and Enrollments have yet to be setup.
Please be advised that a course shell should never be published or assigned due to the nature of its condition.
This article assumes you have the appropriate permissions in Engage Center to access course management.
Accessing the Course Management Page
To begin creating a new e-learning course in Engage Center, follow these steps to access the Course Management page via the Admin Menu:
- Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner to access your Admin Menu.
- Once in the admin menu, click on Course Management under the E-Learning section.

Creating a Course
While in Course Management, click the (+) button labeled Create located in the top right corner and choose New Course.

In the slide out panel that appears, select the course type E-Learning and fill out the mandatory Title and Description. Please note that a course cannot be created without a Title and Description.
Pro Tip: A Code may be entered to help easily locate your course within Course Management.

Before clicking next, make sure to scroll down the panel and select a Category Destination. These categories have been setup to easily locate and organize your courses within Engage Center's Course Management.
After clicking Next, you will then move on to filling out the following Mandatory Additional Fields:

Course Owner - Who to contact with questions/issues - This should be the person who has direct knowledge of the course's application and its enrollments.

Target Audience - Teamm/Role, Etc. - Please be as specific as possible.

Course Enrollment Method - This field provides our Engage Center team insight into how the course is being administered by the course creator.

Manual Enrollment (Rally Call, Enroll via CSV, Self-Enroll) - Implies that course enrollments are being manually assigned by the course creator.

Automated Enrollment (IC)/Enrollment Rules (EC) - Implies that course enrollments should be automatically assigned by either Insight Center call form automation or Engage Center Enrollment Rules. To confirm, reach out to the Engage Center team.
Finally, click Create and Edit to create your course.
